The Rolex 1601 Datejust exudes vintage dress watch style via an older-style five-piece link Jubilee bracelet with American Oval links and a Fliplock clasp, a thicker acrylic crystal over the dial, and a "Pie Pan" dial topped with a yellow gold display and Tritium lume in a creamy patina. The case is also reminiscent of the year in which it was produced and boasts more generously tapered lugs. As a Datejust timepiece, this older used Rolex has held its value exceptionally well, thanks to the use of a waterproof screw-down crown and a calibre 1570 perpetual movement. If you're in the market for a classy vintage Datejust with a reliable reading, consider the ref. 1601 that is presented here today.

The whole process was seamless and as promised. The watch was in perfect condition and the presentation and packaging was outstanding. The Affirm process was seamless as well. I would definitely recommend Bob's Watches and do business with them again.
Stunning good looks. The slate dial is a bit more understated than the silver, gold, or black datejust dials, which I feel is important. The dial color pairs well with the bracelet or any brown or black leather straps.
Serial Number 2801936 is the one that I own. It is a complete set with box and papers. Unlike the version, shown in the photo, I have no luminescent hands. Great timepiece and has increased in value from the $255 Price Tag from June 28,1972. P.S. Not For Sale.
