Vintage pieces don't often come as striking as this as this 1965 Explorer. This vintage 1016 with its gloss gilt dial is a perfect example how some wear over time can actually improve its appearance. The “wear” in this case is a dramatic, tropical patina to the dial that gives this watch an incredible appearance!
In addition to the dial, this 1016 has other features that make it stand out from the rest as well. The hands have aged to a nice creamy hue that compliments the dial well. The C&I rivet bracelet has 11 links, is in excellent shape and completes this vintage piece perfectly. This is a perfect watch for any collector looking for a stunning and unique piece to add to their collection whether it is their first, fifth or fifteenth piece. You will be hard pressed to see a dial like this again anytime soon!
