Vintage Rolex OysterDate 6697
The Rolex OysterDate Precision is characterized by a modest 34mm waterproof Oyster case and a manual winding movement, and often features dauphine hands, a smooth bezel, and a flat-link Oyster bracelet secured by a Fliplock clasp. The vintage Rolex 6697 that is presented here today is a stainless steel variation of the OysterDate that was produced sometime in the early 1960's. The stainless steel finish has maintained an attractive entry-level price and complements the vintage aesthetic of the case and bracelet nicely. As an older used Rolex, the case also features a thicker acrylic crystal and displays some signs of aging such as slight rusting on the hands.
