Pre-owned Audemars Piguet Royal Oak ref 15190SP.OO.0789ST.01 (2003) pays homage to Nick Faldo, a retired professional golfer and the brand's very first ambassador. The partnership, which dates back to the late 1980s, has spawned several limited edition watches to mark various moments in the golfer's career. The first was stainless steel ref. 15090ST produced in quantities of just 175, followed by the ref. 56175TT in steel and tantalum made in 2,000 pieces and finally, ref. 15190SP. A limited edition of just 450 pieces, it features a special golf ball-textured rotor visible through the sapphire case back and a steel and platinum finish. The bezel is dotted with visible screws, and the crown has the signature faceted shape many have come to associate with the brand. Furthermore, the tapisserie dial is decorated with bold, luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers and sweeping, sword-shaped hands. A unique addition to any luxury watch collection that few can claim as their own.
