Developed by noted watch designer Gerald Genta in the 1970s, it introduced an entirely new category in the industry: the luxury stainless-steel sports watch. The integrated bracelet, angular case, octagonal bezel dotted with exposed screws, and waffle-pattern "Tapisserie" dial are signature aesthetics for the brand that continue to influence watchmaking, even decades later. The example you see here is a 33mm women's Audemars Piguet. The case is furnished in lustrous red gold and features a sparkling diamond-set bezel and silver dial with leaf-shaped indices. The watch is powered by quartz and features a flattering leather strap.
