Pre-owned Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding ref 15500ST.OO.1220ST.03 is a modern example of Gérald Genta’s most famous design. Introduced as the successor to the ref. 15400, this 41mm stainless steel model refined the formula with subtle but meaningful updates. The black “Grande Tapisserie” dial immediately catches the eye, now featuring slightly wider hour markers, a printed minute track around the outer edge, and a date window positioned a bit farther from the center for better balance. Like every Royal Oak, the architecture of the watch is just as important as the dial itself. The sharply faceted case flows directly into the integrated stainless steel bracelet, finished with alternating brushed and polished surfaces that highlight the Royal Oak’s famous geometry. Through the sapphire caseback you’ll find the in-house caliber 4302, a self-winding movement with a robust 70-hour power reserve.
