The modern Superocean takes clear inspiration from Breitling’s 1960s “Slow Motion” dive watch, developed around legibility first. The connection is obvious in the bold layout. Broad, chunky hands, oversized luminescent markers, and a high-contrast dial that’s easy to read at a glance. The 44mm case has a strong presence, paired with a ceramic-inlaid bezel that holds up well over time. This model brings in a more contemporary color palette, giving it a bit more personality than traditional dive watches without losing its purpose-driven feel. With 300 meters of water resistance, it’s more than capable in the water, but it’s just as easy to wear. Inside is the Breitling caliber 17, a straightforward automatic movement with 38-hour power reserve.
