Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's legendary novella The Little Prince, the "Le Petit Prince" series has become a cornerstone of the IWC catalog, instantly recognizable by its rich blue dial and strong connection to the pioneering spirit of flight. This reference belongs to the modern generation of Pilot's Watch Chronographs and incorporates an update that many enthusiasts welcomed when it was introduced. For the 2016 revision of the collection, IWC returned to a single-digit date display. The signature blue dial is the star of the show. Deep and dynamic, it provides the perfect backdrop for the large luminous Arabic numerals, sword-shaped hands, and classic aviation-inspired design cues that have defined IWC pilot's watches for generations. The chronograph is arranged in a traditional tri-compax layout, while the day and date displays at 3 o'clock add useful everyday functionality without overwhelming the dial.
