This is the same design family that accompanied astronauts on all six lunar missions, earning its place as one of the most recognizable chronographs ever made. The 42mm stainless steel case houses the classic black dial with the familiar tri-compax layout: running seconds, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour recorder, all protected by a hesalite crystal that stays true to the traditional Moonwatch formula. The black tachymeter bezel frames the dial and reinforces the Speedmaster’s roots as a precision timing instrument. Inside beats the manually wound caliber 1861, a direct descendant of the movement that traveled to the Moon during the Apollo missions. Winding it each day is part of the experience and a small connection to the watch’s spacefaring heritage.
