Pre-owned Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5060J-001 (2001) was among the earliest versions of the watch after it debuted in 1997. The Aquanaut collection came hot on the heels of Quartz Crises, and an increasingly affluent younger generation in search of casual luxury sport watches from established watchmakers like Patek. It was very reminiscent of Nautilus, but with a more casual rubber strap and a more affordable price point. ref. 5060A was the inaugural model, made of steel, hence the "A" at the end of the reference number. The gold model you see here was made at the same time, just in a different metal. The rounded bezel, gold and luminescent Roman numerals, and laid-back leather strap on this model give the watch a very wearable yet buttoned-up aesthetic we think most collectors will find irresistible.
