Pre-owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref 67243 (1995). Today, Rolex keeps the Oyster Perpetual strictly steel, but back in the ‘90s you could get a two-tone configuration like this, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting now. This 24mm model pairs a steel Oyster case with a yellow gold engine-turned bezel and a steel-and-gold Jubilee bracelet. It’s a subtle two-tone watch, not flashy, and very much of its era. The champagne dial is very vintage, especially with the quadrant, or crosshair, design running through the center. There are no applied hour markers here, just a full track of minute hashes and tiny Tritium dots at each hour. No date, no complications. Just time-only simplicity in a configuration Rolex doesn’t produce anymore. For collectors who appreciate the smaller vintage references, this one feels quietly special.
