pre-owned Rolex Air-King 5501 Leather Bracelet
The Air-King was developed by Hans Wilsdorf upon hearing that the pilots of the British Royal Air Force took to wearing their personal Rolex wristwatches instead of their military-issued watches. To celebrate their loyalty, Wilsdorf released the Air Series of watches, which includes the legendary Air-King. The ref. 5501 that you see here today is a vintage steel and gold example of the line that includes a resilient stainless steel case, a fluted bezel in 18 karat yellow gold, and a handsome silver dial adorned with a yellow gold display. The case offers a comfortable 34mm diameter and is waterproof up to 100 meters, making this preowned Rolex ideal for everyday wear.
