The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date is similar to its larger cousin the Datejust in that it utilizes a waterproof screw-down crown and a Perpetual movement with self-winding and an automatically changing date display. What makes the Date unique is the use of a slightly smaller case that measures 34mm in diameter. This subtle difference in case sizes is highly sought-after by many collectors. The ref. 15223 that you see here today is a two-tone example of the line that features a stainless steel and 18 karat yellow gold case and bracelet, and a contrasting black dial topped with a yellow gold display and Tritium luminous plots.
