Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16018 (1984) delivers the opulence and prestige of a gold and diamond Rolex in a slightly more understated and approachable package. The Datejust has been a fixture of the Crown's portfolio since 1945 and was initially only available in yellow gold. Furthermore, it was alongside the inaugural 1940s model that Rolex introduced the now-infamous 5-link Jubilee bracelet. With that in mind, the Rolex 16018 reminds us of the collection's roots, but in an updated package with a modern scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a high-beat movement with a Quickset date. This model from the mid-1980s also features Tritium, an older-style lume that has remained a nice ivory hue on this model.
