One of the most interesting features is the fluted bezel, a design Rolex introduced to platinum Day-Date models in 2022. Previously, platinum Day-Dates were exclusively fitted with smooth bezels because the metal's unique properties made machining the intricate fluting particularly difficult. The addition of a platinum fluted bezel marked an important milestone for the collection, bringing one of Rolex's signature design elements to its most prestigious metal. In keeping with Rolex tradition, this example features an ice-blue dial, a color reserved exclusively for the brand's platinum watches. Baguette-cut diamonds serve as hour markers, arranged to resemble traditional baton indexes. The day appears in full at 12 o'clock, while the date sits beneath the Cyclops magnifier at 3 o'clock. A matching platinum President bracelet completes the watch, featuring the distinctive semi-circular three-piece links introduced alongside the original Day-Date in 1956.
