Rolex released the Day-Date in the mid-1950s. In addition to offering an automatically changing date display on the dial, the model also features the name spelled out in full. Hence, it's name the Day-Date. The bracelet that often accompanies the case is referred to by the brand as the President bracelet. As a result, most collectors often refer to the line as the President Day-Date. The ref. 18248 that is presented here today is a striking variation of the model that features 18 karat yellow gold in a satin and barked finish.
