Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref 16618 (1987) is an older-model yellow gold Rolex with Tiritum hour markers and hands, a black aluminum bezel, and an older-style Oyster case with sleeker lugs and smaller crown guards. At the same time, this Sub is considered a modern dive watch because it also sports a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, high-beat caliber 3135 Perpetual movement, a uni-directional bezel mounting, and water resistance up to 300 meters/1,000 feet. It offers the wearer the best of both worlds when it comes to modern conveniences yet still exudes the retro elegance many die-hard collectors are after. The sporty rubber strap drives that sentiment home by adding a contemporary flair to an older-style 5-digit Rolex.
