Pre-owned Rolex Datejust 36 ref 16200 (1996) carries forward one of Rolex’s most important designs. Introduced in 1945, the Datejust was the first wristwatch with an automatically changing date, and it has remained a cornerstone of the lineup ever since. This model is understated in the best way. The all-steel finish, smooth bezel, and Oyster bracelet give it a clean, understated look that's more casual than fluted or two-tone versions. The silver dial adds to that versatility, finished with Tritium lume and a black railroad minute track that brings a bit more definition to the layout. It’s a small detail, but it changes the feel of the entire watch. By the mid-1990s, the Datejust had already transitioned to a sapphire crystal and updated movement, making it easy to wear daily. This is a straightforward, well-balanced version of the DJ36 that stays close to the original idea.
