Vintage Rolex Air-King 5500
The Rolex 5500 Air King came to market in 1957 and is an exceptional entry-level vintage Rolex. The case is crafted from stainless steel, protecting the calibre 1530 perpetual movement within from years of wear and tear while maintaining an attractive price tag. The movement itself was among the first in-house Rolex movements ever produced and is not chronometer-rated. The silver dial has aged beautifully and displays the time via silver indices and hands. Minimal text on the dial featuring mainly the Rolex and Air-King logo, allows the dial to take on a clean aesthetic that is widely sought-after by collectors.
