The first Sea-Dweller hit the market in the 1960's, bringing with it a depth rating of 610 meters or 2,000 feet. Perfect for deep sea saturation divers, the Sea-Dweller allows the wearer to venture to greater depths without damaging the movement within the case. The ref. 16600 that we have listed here today offers an increased waterproofness of up to 1,220 meters or 4,000 feet. While most collectors will never need to venture this far below the surface of the ocean, the mere fact that the case is capable of withstanding such pressures is enough to win over any dive watch enthusiasts. Produced from 1989-2009, the used Rolex 16600 is relatively easy to find at a reasonable price on the secondary market.
