Rolex Air-King 5501 - Steel and Gold
The vintage Air-King ref. 5501 is the steel and gold variation of the 5500 Air-King series. Characterized by a handsome two-tone finish, this particular used Rolex is the ideal accessory for almost any outfit or occasion. The Air-King itself boasts an incredible history, beginning during World War II. Hans Wilsdorf sought to commemorate the brave feats of the RAF pilots by creating a series of pilots watches, also called the Air Series. The Air-King is the only model that is still in production. Finding the perfect secondhand reference to suit your style is relatively easy as it is an often overlooked model by many collectors.
