Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 16264 (1998) is, at its core, a classic Datejust dress watch. It features all the same design elements, including a waterproof Oyster case with a screw-down crown, a self-winding movement, and an automatically changing date display placed prominently at the 3-hour marker alongside a Cyclops magnifier. The rotatable bezel sets this model apart from others in the collection. This variation is also called the Rolex Thunderbird or the Rolex Turn-o-Graph, and it came to market a few years after the inaugural Datejust was released in 1945. It was among the first Rolexes to sport a rotating bezel, earning it a special place in many enthusiasts' collections. Ref. 16264 is a desirable steel model with an 18k white gold 60-minute bezel and a matching silver dial.
This 1991 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph arrived in excellent condition, with a white-gold rotating bezel which beautifully complimented the stainless steel case and jubilee bracelet. The watch was properly regulated to Rolex standards per my timegrapher. I am very pleased with this purchase.
