Rolex Datejust 16264 "Thunderbird"
The Datejust Thunderbird has everything collectors look for in a really great Rolex watch: a fascinating history, an affordable price point, and a versatile design set. The Datejust Thunderbird came to market in the early 1950s, pre-dating all of Rolex's most iconic tool watches. That means the Thunderbird was the first commercially produced Rolex to feature a rotatable bezel, preceding even the Submariner and GMT Master. It laid the groundwork for the Rolex professional series as we know it today, making the Thunderbird one of the most important models in the Rolex catalog. As a member of the Datejust series, the Thunderbird is also incredibly versatile, boasting a waterproof Oyster case, Perpetual movement with automatic winding technology, and a jump date mechanism. Ref. 16264 features a remarkable steel and white gold finish and a sharp blue dial.

This 1991 Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph arrived in excellent condition, with a white-gold rotating bezel which beautifully complimented the stainless steel case and jubilee bracelet. The watch was properly regulated to Rolex standards per my timegrapher. I am very pleased with this purchase.
