Pre-owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref 1005 (1977 - 1978). While the current production OP is only available in stainless steel, there was a time in Rolex's history when the model was also available in precious metal. Case in point? The vintage Rolex 1005 for sale here. This two-tone stunner features a stainless steel case surrounded by a yellow gold fluted bezel, a matching yellow gold crown, and a sleek Oyster bracelet with three-piece links in steel and polished yellow gold. The result is a Rolex with immense presence yet incredible versatility. As a model from the late 1970s, it also sports an older-style acrylic crystal and a charming slate dial with yellow gold hour markers and Tritium lume in a warm patina. The Greek Sigma at the bottom of the dial denotes the presence of precious metal on the dial.
