The Rolex Smurf 116619 is one of the most intriguing editions of the iconic Submariner diver's watch in recent years. It is presented in Rolex's proprietary 18kt white gold and also features a modern "Super Case" with broader lugs and a Maxi dial with larger luminous plots in white gold surrounds. The most notable feature, however, is the stunning blue hue of the dial and the matching ceramic bezel insert. This pairing of blue with white gold earns the 116619 Rolex its charming name "Smurf". Many collectors in-the-know also refer to it as the Anniversary Submariner. As a modern dive watch, the ref. 116619 also includes a Triplock screw-down crown with water-resistance up to 1,000 feet, a new bezel mounting, and a chronometer-rated cal. 3135 Perpetual movement.
