ROLEX SUBMARINER 16808
This Rolex 16808 Submariner, with its unique dial and yellow gold finish, has an intriguing story to tell. Produced sometime in the early 1980s, it features an 18k yellow gold case with holes on the lugs, a sapphire crystal, and a uni-directional bezel mounting with an aluminum insert. The 60-minute graduations are presented in gold to offer ultimate legibility and to match the case. However, the dial is the real showstopper, featuring a desirable matte finish, Tritium Mercedes hands, and older-style nipple hour markers. Reference 16808 was produced in the 1980s, which means the dial also boasts a date mechanism. Additionally, the case is waterproof up to 1,000 feet.
