Vintage Rolex "Steve McQueen"Explorer II
Steve McQueen, the ultimate king of cool, has the Explorer II 1655 named after him by collectors which is highly ironic considering that there is no proof that he owned or wore this model. However this model is definitely cool to own and admire for its history and durability. Manufactured to withstand the rigors of extreme exploring like cave spelunking and mountain climbing, this model can live up to any day to day wear you can throw at it.
This timepiece is a 2.9 million serial meaning it was manufactured in 1970. The service dial and hands give this watch a completely fresh and clean appearance. The case is in wonderful shape. It was recently polished and is totally free from scratches. The newer 93150 oyster bracelet is in fantastic shape and has little to no stretch.
