Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller ref 126600 (2020) was an important model when it came to market in 2017. The Sea-Dweller had always lived in the shadow of the Submariner, even though it was the more capable professional dive watch. With the 126600, Rolex made sure no one would confuse the two again. The most talked-about change was the Cyclops over the date, the first time a Sea-Dweller ever featured one. For decades, the absence of a magnifier was part of the model’s identity, dating back to the original ref. 1665. The case grew to 43mm, giving it a more robust, ultra-capable underwater aesthetic. The wider 22mm lug width keeps the proportions balanced, so it doesn’t feel awkward, just substantial. Inside, the older caliber 3135 gave way to the next-generation caliber 3235, bringing a longer power reserve, improved efficiency, and stronger resistance to magnetism.
