Vintage 1963 Rolex Datejust 6305
Former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower famously wore an all-gold 1950s-era Rolex Datejust ref. 6305 on his wrist when he graced the cover of TIME magazine, launching the brand even further into the spotlight. The reference holds immense historical significance for the Rolex brand and also features one of the earliest examples of the fluted bezel, a unique honeycomb texture dial, and a striking red date wheel, making it irresistible for even the most experienced collector. The example of the earlier-model Datejust that you see here today wears on a Rolex crocodile leather bracelet and displays the time via older-style arrowhead hour markers, dauphine hands, and Tritium luminous plots in a deep patina.
