This GMT-Master is in great vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The case is strong with wear, scratches, and some nicks. The fuchsia bezel insert is in excellent condition with some wear and scratches. The blue portion has faded while the fuchsia has remained vibrant, leaning towards a purple color. The back of the bezel is fuchsia colored. The matte dial is in great condition with light patina. The lume on the dial has developed patina and aged to a lovely beige color. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands has aged to a color very close to the color of the lume on the dial. The lume in the seconds hand has aged a bit darker and has a crack in the center. The lume in the GMT hand shows signs of wear in the center. The Swiss Oyster rivet bracelet is in overall great condition with some stretch between the links and wear; this is not uncommon for this style bracelet. The crystal has some wear.
The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1968 example is in overall beautiful condition with it's creamy lume and fuchsia bezel. Collectors refer to this dial variation as a Mark I "Long E." When looking at the "Rolex" text on the dial the "E" has a longer central bar (same length as the top and bottom ones) and that is where this nickname comes from. Rolex made many iterations of the GMT over the years and this watch has a couple additional interesting things to note.
This example is coming directly from the family of the original owner; we love how the purple fuchsia bezel pairs with the creamy beige lume, its a great combination that really pops in the light.

Great watch and very good help from Sam Berger who catered to my concerns.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
