This GMT is in great, honest vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The case is strong with some wear, scratches, and nicks; it appears to be unpolished. The bevels on the edge of the lugs are still visible. The bezel insert has faded with wear and scratches throughout. The top, originally brown portion has faded out mostly and has a blueish tint to it and the bottom yellow portion has faded and is a butterscotch color. The inside caseback is stamped "1675". The originally brown dial has aged to a fairly even purple color throughout and has some reddish discoloration around some hour markers; we have seen this red come through the dial of these before. The hour markers have developed patina and the lume has aged to an attractive pale cream color. The hands have developed patina and the lume in the hands has aged to match the color of the lume on the dial. The lume in the GMT hand shows some cracking. The bracelet is in great condition with some scratches and wear, it has stretch between the links which is not uncommon for this style bracelet. The crystal has some light wear.
The reference 1675 is the second iteration of the original GMT Master and was offered in many variations. A handful of metal options were produced under ref. 1675, including the steel and gold like the example we have here. Rolex offered these with either a black dial and matching bezel or like this example with a brown dial and matching bezel. These brown dial versions have earned the nickname "Root Beer" because of the colors. However, this example was born with a brown dial and has aged over the years to a fantastic purple color and we are dubbing it the "Grape Soda" GMT.
This example comes directly from the original family and still has its box and punched papers. The combination of the full set with the tropical dial sets this two-tone apart from the rest.

Great and easy transaction. Very professional and communicative. For sure a solid experience.
Great watch and very good help from Sam Berger who catered to my concerns.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
