This GMT-Master is in good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The case is strong with normal signs of wear. The inside caseback is stamped "1675 I.66." Serial and reference numbers are visible between the lugs. The bezel is a later blue back service replacement in overall great condition with scratches and normal signs of wear; the colors are still vibrant. The dial is in overall great condition with light patina and is a later, tritium service replacement. The lume has developed patina and aged to an attractive pale yellow color. The hands have developed patina and are service replacements; the color of the lume in the hands matches the lume color on the dial nicely. This watch has a stainless steel 78360 Oyster bracelet with 12 links and no. 501B end links. Clasp stamped "AD 7" indicating it's from 2003. The Oyster bracelet is in overall great condition with normal signs of wear and light stretch between the links.
The GMT Master is Rolex's signature pilots watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It's one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it's instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
It was very common for Rolex watches to change and update watches when they come in for routine service and that is exactly what happened to this watch. These all serviced up examples offer a great value and are ideal for daily wearers. This example has a matte black dial with tritium lume that has aged to a beautiful yellow adding to the overall vintage aesthetic many look for.

I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
