The original Datejust Turn-o-Graph came to market in the 1950's and was initially developed as a tool watch for engineers, pilots, and other various professions. Its claim to fame is the addition of the brand's first rotatable timing bezel, a feature that would accompany numerous sports models in the years to come. Also known as the "Thunderbird", this men's Rolex was adopted as a military watch, making it the first Rolex to do so. Besides its notable bezel, the Datejust looks and feels like any classic Datejust timepiece, boasting a 36mm waterproof Oyster case, a five-piece link Jubilee bracelet, and a classy dial adorned with a jump date and gold accents. The two-tone ref. 16264 is a handsome variation to consider if you seek an impressive preowned reference.
