By Paul Altieri,
The men's vintage Omega Speedmaster 2998-6 is an incredible find that is full of history. This particular reference was produced between 1959 and 1962. A relatively short production run, 2998 Omegas are increasingly rare. Even rarer, are Omegas 2998's with original parts. The 2998-6 variant of the ref. 2998 is characterized by spear chronograph and alpha hands that appear to be original. An applied metal logo is prominently displayed on the dial alongside chronograph registers and gold hour markers. The black BASE500 Tachymeter bezel and chronograph functions provide the perfect tool watch for professional use while driving, allowing the wearer to measure speeds and increments of time simultaneously.
*All Pre-Owned Omega watches are guaranteed to be 100% genuine and certified authentic. All watches are shipped to fit the average size wrist (7 1/4" - 7 1/2" for men and 6 1/4" - 6 1/2" for women). Additional links can be purchased if needed.
I returned my purchase with the 3 day period. The return accepted with no hassle and processed within a day. When I spoke with a representative on the phone they were polite and courteous and my emails were answered promptly. This is a legitimate business and I would recommend.
I've wanted a Moonwatch for over 20 years since I saw one in a space magazine in elementary school. I finally own one and couldn't be happier. Using the NATO strap until I can get several links removed from the metal band, but oddly enough I actual really like the NATO strap...
Very nice timepiece with excellent grading by Bob's Watches.
